7 years Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday was our 7 years Wedding Anniversary and we had a wonderful dinner at KU DE TA. It was a pity that the weather wasn't good and we couldn't sit outdoors. But we really enjoyed the food and realised it was the most expensive meal we have ever had.

Ended the night with a drive up to Mount Faber, something we used to do during the dating days. But it has been about 3 years since we've last been there. Nothing much has changed though we realised that the trees have grown so much that our usual view has been blocked! Hahaha :p

Thank you Hubby for the beautiful necklace and earrings, something I've been wanting! Such a surprise! But it must have burned a BIG hole in your pocket!

Texas Chicken

This really brings me back to my secondary school days. We used to go after school and just order one large mashed potato each. And one of my friends would try to squeeze chilli sauce in everybody's tub!

And after all these years, it still tastes as good! Yummy!

Mum's birthday lunch

Mum's birthday lunch at Tung Luk last Sunday, plus some photo taking at the 11th floor of Orchard Central. It was actually starting to drizzle quite heavily and the winds were getting strong when taking the group pic. All of us were giggling and going "Quick! Quick!" Hahaha :p

Dinner

Dinner! Cos hubby has to work tonight, so he bought this from a pizza store in our neighbourhood in the afternoon. Heated it up in the toaster for dinner. It was actually quite nice :)

Death by Chocolate

Chocolate Chip Chocolate Muffins!!

Just mix all the ingredients together and bake!

Wendys

We have been wanting to go to the outlet ever since it opened. So we finally made a trip to the Jurong Point outlet last night. It was so small! I nearly gave up but hubby persisted and we decided to wait for 2 of the less than 15 seats.

Thankfully the food did not disappoint!

Definitely recommended:
- Quarter Pounder Burger
- Ultimate Chicken Grill Burger
- Nuggets

Give it a miss:
- Fries were hard and overcooked.
- Baked potato was so-so, i mean, how wrong can you go with this?

Skipper's Delight Penne @ Coffee Club

"The Dish - Panfried fillets of ocean fresh fish topped with aromatic lemon, garlic, rosemary crust on a bed of penne, drenched in a robust lobster sauce."

I absolutely loved it the first time i tried it at Coffee Club and i had it again a week later. Nice!

Sinful Sunday

2 sinful indulgences in 1 day!

Not forgetting the crab meal we had last night for dinner. All these within 24 hours! Looks like it's time for a big workout!

Teochew Porridge

Hubby is so happy he found a Teochew Porridge place pretty near our place - Joo Seng Teochew Porridge at Upper Bukit Timah Road

Yummy! Especially the duck and the otah, 2 of their famous dishes.


Look at him, smiling in glee! Very happy! And it opens till 4am daily.

Butter Cookies

My first try at baking butter cookies! Nice, but need to get it to be crispier. Will definitely try to perfect it :)

A nice day at home

With the help of the nutmeg and paprika powder (thanks KW for the tip!), and larger pieces of garlic so they don't burn so easily, finally got quite a tasty dish of Spaghetti Aglio Olio for my lunch. Yeah!

And since it was such a nice rainy day yesterday, I soon settled down at our cosy corner with a book and a drink. If only the weather was cold enough for a nice hot steaming cup of cocoa :)

Wanted to try the new dessert place at Vivo, but we were simply too full!

Brownie

Home made brownie!

Hee but it was made using one of those brownie ready mixes. Really easy! Only needed to add the water, oil and egg to the mix and bake! :)
