No i am not a tai tai
For the past few days, I have received smses from friends asking me how I am enjoying my life as a tai tai.
Actually I am no tai tai, I'm beginning to feel more like an auntie instead! I have made 3 trips to NTUC in the last 3 days, have done so much packing and throwing things at home (manically re-arranging things), and have put the kitchen to better use than just boiling water... and actually feeling quite satisfied doing all these!
And just because I received a package, it doesn't mean I can go round enjoying high teas and jetting off for holidays either... get it?

Moving on...
Last Friday, 29 Jan, marked the end of my 7 years plus career in Ciba. It was a very emotional day as tears were flowing everywhere in the office. It's hard to leave this place, knowing that i will probably never find another working environment like this, great culture and great colleagues.
Today, 1 Feb, marks the start of a new journey for me. And yes, i have officially received the stamp of approval from hubby to stop work for a year. There are so many things i want to do, just simple every day stuff like wanting to learn to cook, tidying the house etc etc. Hmmm, maybe i am suited to be a 小女人! Hahaha!
Hoping to cook something simple for lunch tomorrow and maybe even make some snacks. Check back tomorrow to see if i have succeeded or failed.
Bye for now!

Final Countdown
5 days to go...
how do you describe such mixed feelings...
of excitement and happiness, but yet filled with so much emotions and sadness,
Wanting to laugh and yet knowing that i will burst into tears just as easily.
Hachiko

The real HachikoIn 1924, Hachikō was brought to Tokyo by his owner, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo. During his owner's life Hachikō saw him off from the front door and greeted him at the end of the day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return on the usual train one evening. The professor had suffered a stroke at the university that day. He died and never returned to the train station where his friend was waiting.
Hachikō was given away after his master's death, but he routinely escaped, showing up again and again at his old home. Eventually, Hachikō apparently realized that Professor Ueno no longer lived at the house. So he went to look for his master at the train station where he had accompanied him so many times before. Each day, Hachikō waited for Professor Ueno to return. And each day he did not see his friend among the commuters at the station.
The permanent fixture at the train station that was Hachikō attracted the attention of other commuters. Many of the people who frequented the Shibuya train station had seen Hachikō and Professor Ueno together each day. They brought Hachikō treats and food to nourish him during his wait.
This continued for 10 years, with Hachikō appearing only in the evening time, precisely when the train was due at the station.

You do it
Why do people like to ask,"What are you busy with?"
How about i pass all my work to you, and then you will have the answer.
