Bringing Aiden out on my own

Brought Aiden out all by myself today. Took a bus to and fro Vivo to meet Liz for lunch. Very proud of myself for successfully doing it. Of course, the good old iPad helped entertain him when we had our lunch.

My big boy

So proud of Aiden. Recently, we mentioned a few times that he is a big boy now and should not take pacifier anymore, especially when he turns 2 soon.

For the part few days this week, when we gave him the pacifier, he shook his head and gave it back to us and said,"Only taggie (his security blankey)."

So so proud of him!

Bargaining Part 2

Me: Time to go and change (into pajamas)
Aiden: Don't want!
Me: Have to go and change already
Aiden: 4 minutes
Me: ok after 4 minutes must go and change ok.

4 minutes later....
Me: Ok 4 minutes already
Aiden: 2 minutes
Me: No, just now you said 4 minutes
Aiden: 1 minute
Me: No
Aiden: 6 minutes

Bargaining

Last week, after spending almost an entire Sunday at home, it was time to change into his pjs.

Aiden: I want the ambulance and fire engine (his 2 favorite toys)
Me: No, you have been playing the whole day, it's time for some story books
Aiden: Ambulance and fire engine!
Me: No.
Aiden: Ambulance and fire engine!
Me: No

About 3 seconds later...
Aiden: Car and bus!

Say please

My helper: Aiden, go to Gong Gong's room
Aiden: Don't want

This was repeated a few times...

My helper: Aiden, go to Gong Gong's room so that I can go and mop the floor.
Aiden: Say please.

Flatline no more

Thanks (or no thanks) to the spam comments I have been receiving, I have decided to revive this blog.

Was scanning through the past entries and now wished I had not stopped. It is such a nice diary of Aiden growing up! But guess I've just been too busy as my last post was just before I started working.

So I will try... To start posting again!

Throw throw throw!

9 months 3 days old - His new favourite activity.... Taking the things from the sofa and throwing ALL of them on the floor.

3 Years ! Long or Short ?

Today Aiden's pek pek went for his posting of 3 YEARS in Japan. 3 years... feels long to me... wonder how Aiden will recognise pek pek... from now on he can only see his pek pek from a screen... or rather all of us, not just Aiden...

11 January 2012 - Happy 8 years and Happy 7th ROM Anniversary!

Ever so sweet... the delivery man turned up with a bouquet of my favourite flowers, along with a sweet little pink Care Bear.

We didn't plan any celebrations today since it's a weekday and we didn't want to bring Aiden out for dinner too late in the night. But hubby took half day as a surprise so that he could buy an Awfully Chocolate cake for me... and some terribly expensive truffles! Yummy!

Went for a simple dinner. Not just the 2 of us this year as we brought Aiden along, and our helper too. But it was nice to just be able to go out :)

Up he goes

6 months & 27 days old
- He has been trying to push himself up any chance he had, by pushing on my leg especially. Finally he managed to stand up by himself using the cot railing to prop himself up. Part of me wants to say Well Done!! The other part of me is cringing at how fast he learns these naughty things... Look at his super mischievous smile!

Freedom

6 months 24 days - Aiden realizes that he does not have to sit still in the pram... And that he can actually sit up and start to try climbing up or out!

Milestones

6 months 21 days
- Aiden is able to sit up on his own! He is able to push himself up from a crawling position to a sitting position :)
- He has also started crawling forward since about a week ago
