Durian season

Since the guys were so nice to let Irene and I indulge in some shopping,
I guess we should let them indulge in some durains!

I've never actually eaten durains in Geylang itself.
It was quite an eye opener for me.

Firstly it was so crowded (Yes it is the durain season!),
And they provide everything for you to enjoy this King of Fruits.
Tables, chairs, huge baskets to throw your husks, boxes of tissue paper,
Water coolers and of course wash basins! :p

Not black, white or pink

Quite happy that I managed to add some colour to my wardrobe, especially when green is almost always not my colour of choice. But these 2 tops.... I like.... :)

This Daily Set Lunch Special only costs $9.90 and comes with complimentary ocha tea!

Other than their daily specals, they have other set lunches as well. Very reasonably priced at under $20.

And their chawamushi is really good. So smooth....

It was on a Monday afternoon at 3pm! And it was not a public holiday, nor a school holiday.
Definitely did not expect such a long movie queue!!!

Indulgz Bistro

Had a nice dinner at Indulgz Bistro (Tan Quee Lan street). They were fully booked, even on a Tuesday night. I asked for a chair to put our bags but they apologetically informed me they had run out of chairs for the evening :p Peishi made a booking last Friday and yet we were not able to get the nice comfy cushioned seats the side. How sad, it's a really nice hang out place...

I had the Beer Battered Fish Fillet and Liz had the Chicken & Mushroom Baked Carbonara - both were not bad. Peishi had the Chef’s Crispy Pasta with Chicken Mushroom Cream Sauce. Reminded me of the chinese "sang min" and it was quite yummy!

And of cos, we ended the evening with a nice chocolate fondue for dessert... Mmmmm... heaven!

Yummy ice cream @ The Daily Scoop

I tried the lychee martini flavour, complete with the chocolate coated cone. The ice cream is made with lychee juice and vodka, churned not stirred. It even had small pirces of lychee in it!

Their ice cream is hand-churned, with more than 30 flavours to choose from. Very good, must try!

Life

Is life fair?
Recently, I've been asking myself that more often than I would have liked to.

Even my mum commented to me today,
"Life seems to be playing with people."

When it's something i want,
I don't seem to be able to reach it no matter how hard i stretch.

Yet it seems to come so easily to those who have no interest in it at all.

So is life fair?

Maybe I just need to let go...

Exercise

The guys decided to go running to train for the 10km marathon, so we went to East Coat EARLY this morning. Irene and I decided to walk instead. It was kinda nice, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the windy sea breeze.

What's next? Food of course! Nothing less than breakfast at Carl's Junior! Really filling! Ant and I skipped lunch, not sure about the rest :p

Going for "Kungfu Panda" later. Am prepared for a good laugh :D
