Once in a blue blue moon to go "place"

how often do one go sentosa these days?? for us? well, not so bad... we went in Sep 07, and now Jan 08. That's twice in less than 6 months. Both family outing la. The last time was with my wife's family. This round was because of a relative of my family from China was here in Singapore. So like my mum says, "must bring them to Sentosa"... :O

But honestly, Sentosa has changed a lot. It's like makeover! One would be amazed by the new look of Sentosa these days. So much better than the olden days. Furthermore, with Resort World/Universal Studio coming up, I bet Sentosa would not only be an attraction to foreigners, but for us, the Singaporeans as well.

So... Go check it out man !!!

Hee:D Took the chance to test our camera.

By the way, if anyone of you are really going, try their Song of the Seas. The former Musical fountain. Now they have rebuilt and are charging $ 6.00 for the entrance fee. But it's quite worth it. :) - Ant

WOW $1.00 !!! very "ho tan"

remember we used to play with this "binoculartelescope" (wonder is that what we called it) when we were young or first set foot on Mount Faber???

I still remember the older ones, we can just use a watch strap to insert into the coin hole and we will get to use the scope...Ya, it's true! then maybe because of this small little trick, the authority modified their scope such that you have no choice but to insert a 20 cent coin before you can use the scope.
Guess what... it now cost you $1.00 coin before you get to use this scope ok! the authority sure knows how to get money from tourists... - Ant

On a particularly inspiring episode on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the topic was on Giving - how that little bit that you give can make such a huge difference in people's lives.

Our anniversary - 11 January

It's our 4 years anniversary and 3 years ROM anniversary!

Unfortunately we had to work today so we just planned for a nice dinner for the night. Ant surprised me with a bouquet of my favourite gerberra :) And then we had dinner at Fosters at Holland Village. We've always liked the place for it's live soft music. 2 glasses of champagne and a lovely dedication later from Ant (all arranged quietly without my knowledge), we had a lovely dinner. The ambience is really nice, soft and sweet :D

Ever since we've had our own place, we seldom go "pak-tor" anymore. We used to spend long walks on Mount Faber, Labrador Park, East Coast or simply take long drives to the east to see the planes taking off or even to have Nasi Lemak at Changi Village!

So we decided to drive up to Mount Faber after dinner for a walk.

"Nothing special" - Ant kept telling me. But i never needed any special plans or surprises. Just spending time together with my hubby is good enough for me because having my hubby with me is all that matters, really - jan

Re-charged so as to get drained again !!!

there goes my "holidays", school term started again. again got to go bogus about my school work. sometimes it feels like driving with one single tank. as your journey gets longer, your fuel level gets lower...the key is to drive steadily on a constant speed. BUT, driving on a constant speed on a straight road makes one sleepy... :-

Doing part time studies, really drains one out. at the end of the day, you always hope for a petrol kiosk where you can top up your tank... (that's why must go on tour, retail therapy, etc) hee:D giving excuses to spend money...

anyway, new year new start... nowadays work more manageable. hopefully can use more time for studies and get it over with soon... i hope. :-p - Ant

Major overdose

Wow, we have done soooo much shopping this past one or two weeks. Some new decor for the house, nice (read: expensive) bedsheets, new towels etc etc.

And for ourselves, some (read: lots of) new clothes and shoes! I think we have used (read: busted) our budget for the whole month and today is only the 6th!

Whoops! BUT, super happy about our purchases! Can't stop smiling when i think of them!

Colleagues can be friends too

Jennifer's last day - it's always sad when a colleague leaves, especially when the team works so well together...

These bunch of colleagues have proven that colleagues can become our friends too! They are such a great bunch of people! - jan

Happy Happy New New Year !!!

Just like that, bye bye 2007, hi hi 2008. :)

our new year's eve was kinda quiet though. met friends for dinner at Hawaii Barbebue in Turf city... aye, food was surprisingly good there... if anyone going, must try their BBQ banana, my wife and friends love it... me? hee:D thanks. sorrie, cannot mix la. Banana is banana, BBQ food is BBQ food! hee :D

after dinner, wanted to go East Coast to enjoy the breeze and have a drink to welcome the new year. Guess what, the queue to drive into East Coast was supppppppper long man! and that's just driving into East Coast huh... you havent even look at the main area (near macdonalds) ! looking at that, we decided to try our luck somewhere else... drove to Tanjong Rhu... same! well, Tanjong Rhu slightly better... at least we can drive round and round looking for parking lots at the round about... hee:D

In the end, guess where were we? ... Macdonalds! at the Tea Garden near Queensway. hee:D well, not so bad... we had a really nice chat there though. we have also discussed on our next new year' eve plan... To book a hotel room at the prime location for fireworks. and we will book way way way in advance...! we will go for nice dinner... then go back to the hotel room, while enjoying the fireworks... we will drink to welcome the new year and get ourselves drunk in the room... :D :D

Orchard Christmas lights

I like this year's, or should i say last year's Christmas lightings, cos there is a little lilac among the white. Too bad i couldn't capture the prettiness (is there such a word??) of it properly on camera.
