Driving is truly an enjoyment...!

Finally took our car from Toyota Delivery center last Sat.

Guess what! when we reached there (earlier than our sales rep), we went around searching for our new car after being directed by the sales staff, and we were kinda disappointed when we happened to see our car in a pre-delivery state... hee . it was a little dusty, not as shiny as we expected it to be at the point of delivery... thereafter the guys there asked if we were the owners, and immediately apologized and brought the car for a pre-delivery preparation i.e a good wash!... hee . so after a little while, we finally got to see what we were initially expecting to see the minute we reached there... a completely clean and shiny Grey coloured Altis... hee .

Having collected the car, days will never be the same anymore... or i should say, we are back on the road again... and i just couldn't find words to express how fantastic the feeling of driving is... I can only say, it sure feels good to be driving again...

My Birthday

BD again...! our birthday this year were quite "refrained" in a way or another. Without the convenience of a car, we are bound to limited resources and stuff that we could do... hee . fortunately, we still managed to have an enjoyable one...

my day started with a CD that I've been eyeing for ages. That's a Buble "Home" CD. First thing in the morning, my wife rang me and asked me to go over to collect my first present... hee . And the result of that was, I had my CD going on over and over for the rest of the day... . After we knocked off, we went to Prego for a dinner at Raffles City. As we were slightly early for our reservation, we decided to sit at the burger king for a drink. There was where I get to receive my second present of the day. Guess what! It's a DVD that is very hard to find now in town or even overseas. "Houston, we have a problem"! hee... It's a collector's edition APOLLO 13!!! I've been searching for the longest time to lay my hands on it... but always empty handed. So after "admiring" the DVD for a while, we went for our dinner. I must say, the place was great. Service was good, food was great (small serving but extremely filling). And it's pretty expensive huh. Though we didn't get a very nice corner seat after my wife instructed them to give one during reservation , we still had a wonderful dinner together... and most importantly, had a great time just the two of us... . And of course, my third present of the day! it's an experience I wanted to try so much. 2 Gold Class GV tickets!!! Seats that are said to be extremely comfortable. not only that...to complement to your enjoyment, they provide tibits and stuff for FREE! hee. actually it's inclusive in the ticket liao la... anyway, It's going to be very useful. hee "Harry Porter" is just round the corner... hehe

After our dinner, we went to a Menotti for a drink. wow...though the place a little noisy... but they sure have great deserts and stuff... that's were we spend the rest of our night... indulge in a world of sweet stuff...

So this year BD over liao... got to wait for next year again... that means by then I will be one year older again... - Ant

There is nothing we can do to change that now...nothing will be able to stop us from taking this well deserved break!!! hee BUT! the sad thing is we will have to wait till JAN 06 before we can relax...! No choice la... schedule for cheap tickets are like that...

to add on to our happiness!!! YEAH!!! Our car is finally HERE ! Prob picking up on 22nd Oct. Though being "carless" for barely 1 and 1/2 half months...but it seems like months to me... hee. maybe i'm just spoilt... anyway we are so happy that our car is finally here... - Ant

4 October 2005 - My birthday

It's the time of the year again where I grow yet another year older Hee... not that I'm that old though I usually look foward to my birthdays but not so much this year though. Prob feeling quite tired and drained from all the wedding / house stuff that has been keeping us so busy for the past year, and of cos work. My poor hubby has been trying so hard to cheer me up. Thankfully he is always here for me, despite his own busy schedule, else I would be feeling a lot worse...

Had to work on my birthday since 1 have to prepare for the next 3 consecutive days of training. My hubby was acting all mysterious by taking half day afternoon off and not telling me where he was going.I was just told to meet him at our home after work.

When i opened the door, i saw a trail of rose petals on the floor, which led me to a bouquet of roses,my bday present and finally to my hubby, holding a bday cake for me It was such a nice surprise that he has gone through all these trouble for me! Following which he cooked our dinner and we had it by the candlelight... accompanied by soft music in the background... it was so so sweet... can't imagine a nicer way to spend my bday with my hubby...just want to spend some quality time togerther...

Time has really flown by... it's been exactly one year since my hubby has proposed and in another 7 months, we will have our customary wedding, move in to our new home and start our life together.. can't wait!!! - Jan
