Yee mian on Tuesday and Spaghetti Aglio Olio with scallops today.

It may not seem much, but it's considered quite good for someone like me, who has never had to cook all my life since mummy prepares such yummy food every day.

I am loved.

You know you are loved when your friend knows you are down and calls your hubby to make sure you're ok...

AND offers to come over to keep you company. Thanks dear!

Feeling extremely yucky from the medication.

Just want to lie in bed all day and do nothing. I hate medicine!

New cupboards

Didn't realise there would be so many cabinet doors until i saw this!!

Finally got the cabinets installed! Something we have been wanting to do since we moved in about 4 years ago.


And a proper cupboard for the guest bedroom :)

Honey glazed chicken wings

After a whole week of sinful food, we usually have fish sliced soup for dinner on Sunday nights. Today, I decided to add to the menu and made honey glazed chicken wings. It was yummy! The recipe is easy and really good :) One of my best cooking successes :)

Baikohken - authentic ramen

Heard about this ramen place from a TV show. It was definitely a good recommendation! Authentic ramen, so different from the ones you have at Ajisen.

Although you can't really tell from the pictures, Anthony's full portion (above)was soooo much bigger than my half sized portion (below). So definitely should go for the half sized portion.

Ended the night with friends chilling out at the nearby TCC. Very comfy bean bags as seats upstairs. Liked your passionfruit tea hubby?

My italian version of steamed egg

Frittata is an egg-based dish similar to an omelette or quiche, either simple or enriched with additional ingredients such as meats, cheeses, vegetables or pasta.

I think mine was a bit softer than it was supposed to be. But that is just my guess since i haven't tasted an "authentic" one before. Just wanted to try making it since the recipe looked so simple.

Verdict - Too bland. Mum suggests to add some soya sauce next time. This is what you call fusion cooking??

Wow! So many japanese phrases to learn! And so many characters to learn to write! Reminds me of why i disliked chinese... learning the characters are so difficult! But it was quite fun... need to do homework though :p

Decided to be lazy and make do with instant noodles for lunch.

My hubby hates it when i eat this... But considering that this is only the 2nd time I've eaten this since stopping work 2.5 months ago.... Not too bad right?

Ok Ok i promise not to eat it again within the next.... 2 weeks?

Hubby bought this yummy New Yorker bread for me from Provence (a Jap bakery at Holland Village). Yummy! You know it's good when you see a lot of Japs at the bakery :)

No dates this week

This is the first week since I've stopped working, that I am totally free for the entire week. No lunch dates and no appointments (except staying home one afternoon to wait for the Salvation Army to come and pick up our old wardrobe).

It's kind of resfreshing. Just staying home and doing my things.

I think I am going to have a hard time going back to work!

Need to try again

Tried to make chicken pie yesterday, after learning the recipe from KW last week. 1st attempt in the morning failed, but it gave me a better idea of what went wrong. 2nd attempt in the afternoon was much better, but the crust didn't form well, probably the oven temperature was not high enough.

So i ended up eating the ingredients inside. Even my hubby agreed that the ingredients is not bad, just need to make it a little more saltish.

So i'll try to make one again, hopefully soon! And be able to post a much nicer picture!!

Berrylite Yogurt @ Illuma - Chocolate flavoured yogurt with passion fruit, kiwi and mango fruit toppings. Yummy but it tasted more like ice cream than the traditional yogurt.

Ching Ming Festival

It was really crowded this year, probably also due to the fact that we went on a public holiday and also quite near to the Ching Ming exact date.

We had a hard time finding a table. So there was a new method this year, to make full use of the table space, or the lack of it.

When they were at the market yesterday, my god-son suddenly asked KW - 给干妈看要不要？

Have not seen him for quite a while. I was so happy when he still remembered me when i saw him last week, chatting and playing with me incessantly :D

Though I've never been a big fan of Jessica Simpson, this new reality series really caught my eye. Jessica Simpson goes around the world to find out what is beauty to women in different cultures and what these women would do for beauty.

Caught an episode online today. Do you know that eating bugs like cockroaches speeds up your metabolism?? At least that is what they believe in Thailand!

PS: Warning - Try to overlook the bimbotic side of her, which unfortunately, still shows itself in the series :p

Did Sandra Bullock file for divorce from her loser husband, Jesse James? Or is it a rumor?

The Stir reports that the rumor is true and that their sources say Sandra has filed. There are other reports of Sandra filing for divorce but there has been no “official” confirmation that Bullock has filed.

RadarOnline reports that their experts say the “damage Jesse James has done” to his marriage is too big to repair and the celeb site hints that the marriage is pretty much over. RadarOnline interviewed sex addiction specialists who weighed in on the situation. Dr. Bethany Marshall told the celebrity website:
